// 39th ANNUAL CHRISTMAS ON THE SQUARE 2023
Every year, the first weekend of December, The Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce hosts Christmas on the Square. This year we will celebrate our 39th year!
The festivities begin on Thursday night, November 30th, with a Christmas tree lighting in the park with Mayor Davis, hot chocolate, popcorn, the Kids 1 mile Fun Run and then the Jingle Bell Fun Run & Walk for ages 13 & up, then to end the night with Christmas movies under the stars. Friday, December 1st , at 4:00 p.m. our arts and craft vendors along with our food vendors will be open to welcome you to Christmas on the Square. We will have a live band, great food, Santa Land and we have been told there is 100% chance of snow that evening. Also on Friday night in Santa Land, Coca Cola will be bringing presents for Santa to pass out! Then, of course you don't want to miss the grand finale, our professional fireworks show!
Early Saturday morning, December 2nd , downtown Live Oak is again filled with arts and crafts vendors, dozens of different food vendors, a car show, an agriculture exhibit, Santa Land and live entertainment at Millennium Park. Ending the perfect weekend with our beautiful Lighted Christmas Parade.
We host over 200 vendors offering arts and crafts, hand crafted wood works, quilts, furniture and much more. As visitors progress through the arts and crafts booths, they can’t resist the smell of the delicious and diverse foods in the food court. You can enjoy many different types of meals and tasty snacks.
In Millennium Park you will find entertainment from the best of Live Oak’s very own local talent. Singing and dancing are a major part of the show. You will enjoy your local favorites singing Christmas songs and presenting dance and gymnastic recitals. While enjoying the entertainment be sure to visit Santa Land and give Santa your wish list.
Once the sun goes down and the vendors pack up their booths, the day isn’t over yet. The stars of this show are just making their way down Ohio Avenue to shine in the Annual Christmas Parade of lights. Young and old alike delight in the spectacular and dazzling displays of lighted mobile creativity.
This entire event is a public-benefited fund raising operation under the direction of the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce. Those who would like to enter their talent, arts and crafts, concession booth, automobile or float decorating skills should contact the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is delighted to have everyone in the community take part in such a spectacular event.
So, mark your calendar now and be a part of the Christmas on the Square weekend. Begin preparing your heart for the holiday spirit!
